By wademvp91
2011 is more than half over and we are rapidly approaching the Fall season. Fall of course brings cooler temperatures and school, but it also brings a surplus of exciting games just in time for the Christmas season. I'm an avid console gamer and admittingly don't game on a computer, so I will leave out PC-exclusive games as to not choose the wrong ones. Anyway, here are the Top 10 Games all gamers with a PS3, XBOX 360 or Wii should check out to beat out the "Winter Blues".
1. Uncharted 3 - The third installment in NaughtyDog's exclusive blockbuster for the PS3. Nathan Drake will see his third adventure take place in the desert for the first time. The story will also explore the relationship between Drake and his mentor/ father-figure Sully. (Release Date: Nov. 1 - PS3)
2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - The next chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga arrives from the makers of the 2006 and 2008 Games of the Year, Bethesda Game Studios. Players can live a life in another world, playing as any character they can imagine. (Release Date: Nov. 11 - PS3, X360)
3. Zelda: Skyward Sword - The next installment of one of Nintendo's premier franchises. Zelda is currently celebrating it's 25th anniversary, and what better way than to launch another adventure for link on the Nintendo Wii. (Release Date: Nov. 20 - Wii)
4. Gears of War 3 - The year of the trilogies wouldn't be complete without the epic conclusion of the Gears of War Saga. Gears of War, known for it's graphics and over-the-top gore started this generation of games in 2005 with a true "next-gen" experience and will see it's epic conclusion 5 years later. (Release Date: Sept. 20 - X360)
5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - The sequel to record-breaking games in terms of sales : Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, comes Modern Warfare 3. In this sequel the battle takes place in America, and even though it's titled Modern Warfare, we will see the battle take place sometime in the future, during World War III. (Release Date: Nov. 8 - PS3, X360, Wii)
6. Battlefield 3 - The direct sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company 2. This time you step in as an elite U.S. Marine. You will get to experience fighting on claustrophobic streets, metropolitan downtowns, and vehicle-friendly landscapes in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. (Release Date: Oct. 25 - PS3, X360)
7. inFamous 2 - The sequel to Sucker Punch's take on a superhero released earlier this year to decent sales and above average critic reviews. Will this be the end to Cole's tale, or will there be an inFamous 3. Well, thanks to the cliffhanger ending, you get to decide. (Out Now - PS3)
8. L.A. Noire - The crime-solving game from Rockstar - the developers who brought such critically acclaimed games as Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption. This game received high sales, and above average critic reviews. You play as a cop who works his way through the ranks of L.A.'s finest as he uncovers clues to each crime scene he faces. (Out Now - PS3, X360)
9. Forza Motorsport 4 - The 4th installment in the critically-acclaimed Forza racing series will see support for Microsoft's Kinect motion control system. (Release Date: Oct. 11 - X360)
10. Resistance 3 - The game is set in an alternate 1950s universe, where America has been conquered and destroyed by the deadly Chimeran race. You will take on the role of Joseph Capelli, one of the last surviving Sentinel from a clandestine military program. Capelli comes out of hiding to journey across a land of ruin in a fight for the survival of the human race against the Chimera. This game was recently off-the-radar due to the poor reception that Resistance 2 received, but since its showing at E3 was strong, it has picked up considerable attentions once more. (Release Date: Sept. 6 - PS3)

- Assassin's Creed: Revelations
- Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
